AJ Tapes tvOS
Motion previews rendered straight from the Apple TV app’s Metal shaders — a scripted 122 bpm pulse stands in for the live FFT the app feeds them. On the TV they react to whatever is playing.
Starlings at last light. Bass snaps the flock tight, mids shear it into ribbons, highs flick wing glints off its edges.
Long-exposure ribbons on black. The trails hold the last few bars of the song — every kick is recorded as a bright knot.
A concert light rig playing the song: gel-colored beams sweeping through fog, flashing tight on every kick.
Previews are offline renders of the exact fragment shaders that ship in the
app (PlasmaShader.metal), captured with the repo’s
shader_harness tool. Panel behavior — black levels, banding, burn-in posture —
still gets a couch review on real hardware.
