Stage Haze

The light rig plays the song: seven gel-colored beams sweep through drifting fog over darkness. No fixtures, no truss — the sources hang just off the top of the frame, so the whole picture is light in motion. The other half of the light show, next to Fillmore Oils.

Twelve seconds, scripted 122 bpm pulse. Beams flash and snap tight on each kick, lean into their sweeps with the mids, and the fog shimmers when the cymbals ride.

How it listens

Bass punch
Every beam flashes (~2×) and tightens by a quarter — the rig hitting a cue on the kick. Same onset envelope as the other new modes (padding.x): raw-bass attack, ~280 ms exponential release.
Smoothed bass
Eases the fog's extinction so beams cut visibly deeper on sustained low end.
Mids
Amplify the fast flourish riding on each beam's slow master sweep.
Highs
Shimmer the fog and light the dust motes drifting through the beams.

Three cues

A fan of amber, violet, red and teal beams through fog
The fan. Gel colors from the Fillmore Oils palette — hot magenta, amber, blood red, violet, teal — reshuffling on the slow phase.
Same instant with bass punch: beams brighter and tighter
The hit. Same instant with punch at 0.95 — flashed and tightened.
Red and teal beams crossing with hot blooms where they meet
Crossfire. Edge fixtures aim inward, so sweeps keep crossing mid-frame in additive blooms.

Burn-in posture

Touched: PlasmaShader.metal (stageHazeFragment, stateless), PlasmaMetalView.swift (enum case + mapping). The picker lists “Stage Haze” automatically; default visualizer unchanged. tvOS build: succeeded.
